The City of Northwoods held its first annual Juneteenth Celebration Event.
CHGO attorney Craig Smith gave a statement on the history of Dred Scott and President Abraham Lincoln, and his son Nolan read the Emancipation Proclamation. Each of the children passed out pennies to all who attended the event.
